Senior Sunday School

The Christmas disco was a huge success. We had about fifty children on the night and they had a ball! They certainly danced the night away! On returning to Sunday School we reflected on how fortunate we all are and gave some thought to those less fortunate.

We bought more Good Gifts this year instead of party presents.

We chose Four Day Trips for a Child, which gives street children from Cambodia a rare trip to the countryside giving them clean air and a break away from the everyday difficulties of life.

Lessons for Five Children will help children to gain basic numeracy and literacy skills which will help open up work opportunities for them.

Lastly we bought Birth Certificates without which a Bolivian child cannot get into school, access school feeding programs or receive health care.

We made Thank You cards to show others that their gif ts were very much appreciated.

Over the next few weeks we will be having a quiz, games and drama day, a sugar craft session with Lynn, a DVD day and before we know it we will be looking at Easter! As always there will be some investigating, some reporting, craft and baking.

Dates of importance will be issued to everyone as soon as they have been confirmed. Could I draw your attention to the fact that all leaders and teachers will be in church each Sunday and it is therefore essential that no children are dropped off at the halls. All children are very welcome to sit with their friends in church and go over to Sunday School together.

We study and discuss bible stories in an interesting and fun way involving games, role plays, craft and singing. We are fortunate in having enthusiastic leaders dedicated to teaching the children about the Christian way of life.
