Guild

This year sees the beginning of a new three year theme for the Guild.
It is taken from Micah 6: 8 “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” and this year is entitled, “ Called to act justly.”

Where there are 70 guildswomen gathered together there is never peace and quiet for long.  Members get to know each other better with a cup of tea and a chat.

The Guild is an organisation within New Laigh Kirk which invites and encourages men and women to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship and prayer and action. Every meeting has a different topic ranging from local concerns to world issues with invited speakers of varying styles and subjects. Fund raising for specific projects is a feature of the Guild’s work. The evening finishes off with tea and home baking. Everyone is made very welcome and no-one is too young to join.
