A warm welcome  to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk.  We are glad you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us.  

The welcome team  today is Margaret Lydall, Etta Mitchell, Margaret Paterson, Eileen Murphy, Ian Lydall, Ian Anderson, lain Cuthbertson, Helen Colman, James Mair, Neil Cavens, Esther Douglas, Gordon Mcllwraith, Tim Purdon, Aileen Clyne, Janis Lewis, Martin Harvey, Jan Lamberton.

Members of each Duty team are reminded to arrange replacement cover, and let the duty team leader know, if unable to fulfil their duty Sunday.

The Summer Service format of worship continues on Sunday 1st August with an all age worship service beginning at 9.30am and at 11.00am a more traditional worship service, with tea and coffee served immediately after the the 9.30am service.

The Guild will meet for a summer Coffee and Chat evening on Monday 26th July at 7.15pm in the upper hall/


The African Children’s Choir  will perform on Saturday 21st August at 7.30pm in the Church. This will be a ticketedevent with all proceeds going to the African Children's Choir. The cost of a ticket will be £3. 

While the Choir are with us approximately 26 children and 9 staff will need accommodation, usually with families in the church.  It is fine for 3 children to share 1 double bed, with a separate bedroom/sofa bed for the chaperone.  The Choir will be with us for  one night and we are seeking offers of accommodation from families within our congregation.  Names of members willing to provide accommodation should be given to Andrew Bryson as soon as possible.

There are plenty of spaces available for Rocky’s Plaice Summer Club which will take place from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th  August from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the halls, and on Saturday 14th August from 2.00pm to 4.00pm in the Howard Park (weather permitting). Come and join the fun.

Donations of Juice and Crisps and snacks or money to purchase the same will be gratefully received to help quench the thirst and keep the energy levels up for everyone attending.

Big Band Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 8.00pm onwards. Don’t be shy or hide your talent. Come and have some fun and take part when you can during the summer All Age service.

Worship on Wednesday at 1.15pm.  Come and take 15 minutes of quiet time out of your busy week in the peace of our Sanctuary.

New Laigh Kirk is open to visitors each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 12.00noon to 2.00pm.  Additional cover is required for opening times through the summer months, especially Saturdays.  Please give your name to Robert Wright if you can spare an hour to keep our Kirk open to visitors.

Donations of items for the East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action hygiene packs continue to be required. Any items from the list are welcome and should be brought to church on Sundays or during the week.

Annual bowling afternoon at Portland B.C. On Sunday 15th August.  If you wish to take part please give your name to Ian McCall or Margaret Taylor.
